Benjamin Hu Partner
Benjamin's broad international commercial practice has a particular emphasis on commercial dispute resolution, international arbitrations, shipping, insurance/reinsurance, shipbuilding and offshore construction. He regularly assists clients in negotiating and drafting contracts, including shipbuilding, ship sale and purchase, ship delivery, ship financing contracts and documents.
Benjamin was called to the bar (Lincoln's Inn) and qualified as an ADR-ODR International accredited Civil/Commercial mediator in 2019.
Prior to joining YLLO, Benjamin worked at Quadrant Chambers (London) as pupil barrister and successfully completed pupillage in May 2020. As part of his pupillage, he had to draft Claim, Defence and Reply Submissions, as well as skeleton arguments and other documents for use in Court proceedings and arbitration. Benjamin also has experience at Stephenson Harwood (London) and at The High Court of England and Wales marshalling judges. His significant cases include:
