We are pleased to bring forth momentous tidings from the maritime sphere. In September 2023, a pivotal juncture was reached as the Shipbuilding Contracts for two exceptional floating docks, boasting capacities of 93,500 TLC and 120,000 TLC, respectively, officially came into effect. This significant accord was sealed by the distinguished entities CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd., acting as the joint Sellers, in concert with industry titans, Carnival Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean Cruises CO., Ltd., who stand at the helm of the luxury cruise sector. Delivery of these extraordinary floating docks is scheduled for 2025 and 2026, with classification by Lloyd's Register.
This monumental undertaking is poised to redefine the dry dock capacity of the Grand Bahamas Shipyard, nestled within the heart of the Bahamas Free Port. The lifting capabilities of these docks impeccably align with the repair requisites of existing cruise vessels and the majority of commercial vessels engaged in global trade.
