On November 4, 2023, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and CSSC Cruise Technology Development Co., Ltd. officially signed relevant ship delivery documents with Adora Cruises Limited marking the official naming and delivery of China's first domestically-built large cruise ship, the "Adora Magic City" and commencing comprehensive operational preparations. This milestone signifies China's attainment of the "three pearls" in shipbuilding, enabling the simultaneous construction of aircraft carriers, large liquefied natural gas transport ships and large cruise ships. The large cruise ship incorporates the most advanced shipbuilding technology, superior materials, machinery technology, electronic technology, communication and navigation technology, and hotel engineering technology, serving as a significant representative of China's advanced manufacturing sector.

The "Adora Magic City" has a gross tonnage of 135,500 GRT, measuring 323.6 meters in length and 37.2 meters in width, and with a draft of 8.26 meters, reaching a maximum height of 72.2 meters. The ship is equipped with 107 systems, 55,000 devices, including 25 million components, with the installation of 4,750 kilometers of cables, 365 kilometers of pipelines, and 120 kilometers of ductwork. The ship features 2,125 guest rooms, accommodating 5,246 passengers, and includes a vast 4,000-square-meter public area spanning 16 decks, earning the title of "maritime modern city". Commencing operation from the Shanghai homeport, the "Adora Magic City" will operate international cruise routes, starting from January 1, 2024.

The delivery and operation of China's first domestically built large cruise ship, the "Adora Magic City" will play a pivotal role in shaping a high-quality, high-level domestic cruise industry ecosystem, creating further development opportunities for China's shipbuilding industry and global cooperation.

On November 6, 2018, during the 1^st China International Import Expo, the formal contract for the construction of the large cruise ship was signed, marking the commencement of the project. On November 4, 2023, China's first domestically-built large cruise ship was officially named and delivered. During this period, leveraging its extensive experience in shipbuilding, Yao Liang Law Offices served as legal counsel for Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. in the project. We were deeply involved in negotiating the large cruise ship construction contract and related documents, both domestically and internationally, and provided end-to-end legal services for the project's implementation, performance, procurement, construction, and delivery.
