On April 12, 2022, CSSC and Qatar Energy Corporation jointly announced that contracts for the first batch of four 174,000cbm LNG vessels under the "Qatar Hundred Vessel Construction Program - Qatar Northern Gas Field Expansion Vessel Acquisition Project" took immediate effect. The contract was signed by CSSC Hudong-Zhonghua, CSTC and MITSUBISHI, which marks the formal entry into the execution stage of the "Northern Qatar Gas Field Expansion Vessel Acquisition Project".
