On June 3, 2020, CSSC Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, and Guoxin Sinoship (Qingdao) Marine Technology Co., Ltd. formally signed the construction contract for the world's first 100,000-ton intelligent fishery large-scale farming vessel in Qingdao's Xihai New District. The signing marks the formal entry of the vessel project into the substantive construction stage. The vessel is designed by the Institute of Fishery Machinery and Instrument research institute, together with CSSC Guangzhou Shipbuilding and CSSC Ocean Engineering Design and Research Institute and Qingdao Blue Granary Marine Fishery Development Co.,Ltd The vessel will create a new model of intelligent farming through system integration and model innovation, which can effectively avoid pollution and risk of offshore farming, and at the same time drive the integrated development of various industries such as ship design and construction, intelligent fishery, realizing the integrated demonstration of the transformation of new and old dynamic energy of the shipbuilding industry and the expansion of space for the use of deep and distant marine land, and will lead the new trend of offshore deep and distant marine farming in China.
